Season for Peak Fees: All Year Sonoma State Beach features coastland with beaches, reefs, coves, tidepools, headlands, and natural arches. With more than ten miles of shore, 5,000 acres, this state beach is one of the largest in the state. The park stretches from Bodega Head to the Russian River. There is a five-mile trail system in the dunes. The beach is home to one of California's largest seal rookeries. In the winter, Bodega Head is one of the finest whale-watching sites on the North Coast. The park is also home to many kinds of seabirds. The ocean bay and river frontage offers perch, salmon, steelhead and smelt fishing. Check the State Parks website for additional information on the weather, suggested day hikes, or to see the park brochure, campground map, park photos, video, and more. Information available will vary from park to park. Click here Park Kiosk Hours : Hi Season: 10am-8pm Lo Season: 10am-4pm During the "low season" the kiosks at Sonoma Coast State Beach are not staffed. Self registration facilities are available. All fees at Sonoma Coast State Beach remain constant throughout the year. All vehicles must stay on paved parking spur. |

Reservations available year round. Any Discount pass must be presented at check-in Pets are allowed in the developed areas of the campground and must be kept on leash at all times. Pets also must be kept under the direct control of the owners at all times ( they may not be left leashed up to a picnic table or a camper overnight, for example ) Please see a park employee for a complete map of pet open areas. No one under 18 years of age may camp without an adult ( 18 years or older ) present. Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park. Although your site may hold 2 or more vehicles, your reservation only covers 1 vehicle (except for group or specialty sites). Bodega Dunes Campground and Wrights beach Campground are about 6 miles from each other. No collecting down wood in the campground. Firewood may be purchased from the Camp Host. Important Information for our ADA Access sites Your DMV Disabled Placard/License Plate does not automatically give you a discount on your campsite. You will need to obtain a CA State park-issued Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) or Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP). There is a beach wheelchair available for use, free of charge at Wrights Beach Campground and Bodega Dunes campground, on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that Wrights Beach Campground sites 02, 26, 27 and Bodega Dunes Campground sites 16, 40, 80, 92 are ADA sites. You must have a person that qualifies for this site staying with you at the campsite when you check in. |
